This version is already old. Please check for updates.
- On Windows 7 64-bit systems, the owner report (available in 5+-user editions only) didn’t work properly on the network paths or on a mapped drive. This has been fixed.
- After doing a search for names in the “Find Names” panel on the right, if the report was sorted on other columns, the Find Names list was disturbed and behaved strangely. This is now fixed. It now refills in the current sort order.
- The “Alert” logic is completely revamped. Now ShowSize doesn’t show the “Size on Disk” and “Wasted Space” columns by default in the Folder Sizes report. As a result, no Alerts are shown for cluster size problems. They are shown only when you go to display those columns again. This is more logical and less likely to confuse the new users. Other alerts for “access denied” errors are still shown as before.
- All the display problems related to “Changed Text Size (user preference)” on Windows 7 are fixed. For the same reason, now ShowSize discourages setting a custom List font.
- The Auto Processing of folders on selection is now switched on by default. It can also be switched off on the Auto Panel itself as well as in the Options. Earlier, it was only visible on the Tools menu and many users didn’t even know about this feature.
- Open containing folder operation now opens the folder with the original item already selected for convenience.
- When multiple items were selected in the Folder Sizes report, a dynamic add up was displayed of the selected sizes. This was slow in some cases. This has been fixed.
- Similarly, the drag feature of the above selected items which was removed in the earlier version is now restored because the response problem with the drag has been fixed.
- Now you can right-click on the headers of a report to select the columns in addition to the columns pull down.
